Ferguson Group announces new offshore product at Australasian Oil and Gas Exhibition 2013

Monday, Feb 18, 2013

The Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of offshore containers, refrigerated containers, engineering modules and accommodation solutions to the offshore oil and gas sector, is set to promote its extensive range of products and services at the 2013 Australasian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference (AOG) in Perth, WA.

The Ferguson Group is exhibiting at the event on stand K26 during 20-22 February, at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.

Delegates will have the opportunity to meet with members from Ferguson Group Australia to learn more about the products available in the region, and globally, including a new type of refrigeration container from its IceBlue Refrigeration Offshore division.

The division has launched a new product to its range of offshore refrigerated containers, a new 6m container which offers a unique flexible system allowing for single or dual temperature zoned compartments.

James Scullion, business development executive at IceBlue Refrigeration Offshore, said: “Our product range is constantly evolving in line with client needs and feedback, and our technical team works hard to integrate regional requirements into our products.

“Our twin-zoned containers are new to the market and are already proving extremely popular, both with new and existing customers. Exhibiting at AOG 2013 will provide a superb forum for us to introduce the new features to visitors.”

Ferguson Group’s recent expansion in Western Australia has also included relocating one of its four bases to new larger facilities in Perth. The next phase of expansion is the development of a new base in Karratha which is scheduled to come online during the latter part of 2013.

The appointment of David Gagiero as finance manager at the Perth, WA base was also recently announced, along with the renaming of its operating company from Ferguson Seacabs Pty Ltd to Ferguson Group Australia Pty Ltd.

Steven Ferguson, Chairman and CEO of the Ferguson Group, said: “This has been an exciting period of growth for us, particularly in Australia. Expanding our international premises, and in turn the availability of products, is allowing us to truly meet the increasing needs of clients in the Asia Pacific region.”

Staff from Ferguson Group Australia will be on hand throughout AOG 2013 to talk about the Group’s recent expansion and its plans for continued growth in the region, as well as the Group’s full range of products.

Launched in 2011, the Ferguson Group’s accommodation service vessel, ASV Pioneer, has been involved in an offshore cable laying project and is now deployed in the Mediterranean Sea on a contract with Titan-Micoperi in support of the Costa Concordia Salvage operation.

ASV Pioneer provides an accommodation complex including 2 person cabins complete with en-suite facilities, galley, mess, gym, medical and recreational facilities, manufactured to DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 standards. In addition the vessel provides a large working open deck area measuring 1100m2 with a load capacity of 15 tonnes/m2.

The Ferguson Group employs more than 170 people worldwide through its divisions serving the offshore container rental and accommodation modules markets. The group, headquartered in Scotland, has operations in all major global oil and gas locations.
